About me

My name is Alex and I am a Care Professional. This wasn’t a path I thought I would take, 2018 I was made redundant due to the Covid Pandemic – the only job I could find locally was a cleaning role in a residential care home - I observed the carers and found what they did so admirable. I expressed an interest and did a trial: I immediately knew why I had found desk jobs so challenging and decided to follow it up longer term. I have done a number of jobs working in different industries; these are transferrable skills I am able to use in this line of work too. I want to support clients holistically and make sure their wellbeing is balanced. I love the work I do: I learn so much from my clients and feel passionate that they enjoy their life despite the challenges they are facing.
